Dave Coulier
Dave Coulier’s broad comic talents brought a hilarious touch to his role as Joey Gladstone on ABC’s hit television show “Full House,” which ran for eight seasons in the early 1990s. Now 20 years later, he is amazed to find himself reprising the role on the spin-off “Fuller House.” Coulier started his career as a voice-over talent on shows such as “Scooby Doo” and “The Muppet Babies,” and his ability to mimic voices and do spot-on celebrity impersonations continues to drive his stand-up comedy sets. He has hosted “America’s Funniest People,” as well as ABC’s “World’s Funniest Videos,” and acted in a number of televisions shows and movies. Coulier’s clean stand-up comedy has been showcased on “The Tonight Show” and at Radio City Music Hall, and keeps audiences laughing everywhere he goes.

1776 - Tri-Valley Repertory Theater - Main Stage
A funny, insightful and compelling drama.

The seminal event in American history blazes to vivid life in this most unconventional of Broadway hits. 1776 puts a human face on the pages of history as we see the men behind the national icons: proud, frightened, uncertain, irritable, charming, often petty and ultimately noble figures, determined to do the right thing for a fledgling nation.

It’s the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence… if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! 1776 follows John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence.

David Shoemaker - Gravitational Waves - Rae Dorough Speaker Series
Gravitational Waves- the New Cosmic Messenger

100 years ago Albert Einstein predicted in his general theory of relativity that there are ripples in space-time – gravitational waves. On September 14, 2015, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) successfully measured gravitational waves that were a result of the merger of two black holes. This event launched a new era of gravitational-wave astronomy. David Shoemaker served as Leader for the LIGO Project and is its Scientific Collaboration Spokesperson – elected to speak on behalf of gravitational wave science and affiliated scientists in 15 countries. The second observational period will end in Summer 2017. David will update on recent developments and the future for this avenue of research.

Grammy-nominated for Best Bluegrass Album 2012, TSC is a superb four-man acoustic band in the classic vein, but with more than enough modern sensibilities. With spotless vocals and playing as shiny as a newly minted penny, TSC comes at the music with boundless energy and an aesthetic reverence that tickles the ribs, tugs at the heart, and puts a restless two-step in boots and bare feet!

An Evening with Five for Fighting
Singer/songwriter John Ondrasik, who goes by the hockey-inspired name Five for Fighting, burst on the scene more than 15 years ago with the Grammy Award-nominated Superman (It’s Not Easy) which became something of an unofficial anthem in the aftermath of 9/11. He has since been a mainstay on mainstream radio with such chart-topping hits as 100 Years, The Riddle; World, Chances and What If – melodic piano ballads and richly felt songs which speak to the soul and reach into the hearts of listeners worldwide. From “The Blind Side” to the 100th episode of “Hawaii Five-O,” his music has been heard in films, shows and advertisements and he has written songs for other hitmakers including Josh Groban and The Backstreet Boys. Five for Fighting has released six albums and is currently at work on a new recording. In a show especially designed for the intimate size of the Bankhead Theater, his voice and music will entice fans both old and new.

Called the funniest farce ever written, Tony Award®-winning NOISES OFF presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing’s On. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this sexy, hilarious and classically comic play. The film version of this show featured some of the greatest contemporary comedic actors of our time, including John Ritter and Carol Burnett.
