Entries 76-80 and After the Parade

#76 - Venture Crew Youth Group #937

Welcome the Venture Crew #937 youth group of Livermore.
Venture Crew is a co-ed branch of Boy Scouts, allowing both young men and women to enjoy high adventure activities along with their mission of community service.
Venture Crew 937 provides positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Venturing provides the skills needed for young adults to make ethical choices, acquire leadership skills, and to take advantage of opportunities to advance their skills and knowledge in the areas of high adventure, sports, arts, and hobbies.
If you are age 14-21 and looking for entertaining and rewarding experiences, Venture Crew is the way to go!
Venture crew thanks their sponsor Peninsula Building Materials, a local business that has ten acres of the finest selection of stone and brick in the Tri-Valley area. They cater to both the home owner and the builder, offering sales and service from start to finish. You will find Peninsula Building Materials located at 6610 Brisa Street here in Livermore.

#77 - Livermore Valley Charter Prep H.S.

Livermore Valley Charter Prep High School is our newest public high school here in Livermore.
Opened in 2010, they now have a full Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior class.
They feature many clubs and all men’s and women's sports and athletics.
They are both a public school, plus a private International School.
Good to see you here and we wish you continued success!

#78 - Miss Northern Ca-Am. 2013
2nd Place - Novelty Unit Senior

Welcome Mrs. Northern California-America 2013, Charlene Jones, a resident of Tracy.
She will be competing in Anaheim this month for the Mrs. California title, the married version of the Miss America circuit. If she wins, she will advance to Mrs. America finals in Tucson, Arizona.
Charlene also competed as a professional bull rider with the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association several years ago and placed in the top 5 overall. She retired from bull riding 6 years ago and, as a veteran and a military wife, began her journey as an advocate for our military veterans and their families. She is currently President of Operation Warriors Foundation, Inc., which we heard about earlier.
She will be at the rodeo today and would be happy to meet you and take photos with you.
We wish you luck in Anaheim and Tucson, Charlene!
Thanks to Dublin Chevrolet for providing the car.

#78-B - Sons of Norway Snorre Lodge

Welcome the Sons of Norway Snorre (snor- reh) Lodge.
These are like-minded individuals with a passion for Norwegian and Scandinavian heritage, culture, volunteerism and fellowship. They're a community-based not-for-profit organization involved in philanthropic outreach projects and offer quality heritage programs.

#79 - Wheels (LvAmVyTrAth)

Here comes the RIDEO bus!
Making its first public appearance is the newly rehabilitated and revitalized RIDEO bus from the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority, operator of the Wheels bus service.
This 1962 GM bus was originally part of the City of Livermore’s Rideo fleet. When LAVTA was created and assumed the operation of the Tri Valley bus services in the mid-1980s, it acquired this historic treasure from the City.
The bus was in need of repair and restoration. This came to the attention of Alameda County Supervisor and LAVTA board member, Scott Haggerty.
Supervisor Haggerty secured federal funding to rehabilitate this piece of Livermore’s history to its former glory.
It is with pleasure that LAVTA presents its completely restored RIDEO bus”!

#80 - Livermore/Pleasanton Fire Department.

Here comes Livermore’s Big Red Truck!
This is the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department's Truck 96 from the East Avenue Fire Station.
The cities of Livermore and Pleasanton consolidated their fire departments in 1996 to form the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. On behalf of Chief Jim Miguel and the men and women of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, have a safe and enjoyable Rodeo Weekend!
Remember the Livermore Rodeo's Grand Entry start at 3:00 today and Sunday at Robertson Park. You don't want to miss the Livermore Rodeo, the world’s fastest and best. See you there!
