Livermore Jr. Rodeo Where do Cowboys & Cowgirls come from? And where does it all begin ~ at our Junior Rodeos. Livermore Jr. Rodeo is having their 56th rodeo the 3rd weekend of June. It is a whole day dedicated to the next generation of cowboys and cowgirls. Contestants range from the adorable age of 1-5 years old and can really give a cowboy a run for their money in our Pee Wee Program. We also have Junior and Senior events that include the speed of barrel racing, and the excitement of steer riding. These are boys and girls between the ages of 6-18 years old In fact there are over 17 different rodeo type events that are young people choose from. We have family team roping where mom or dad participate with their children. In fact, we are putting the BUCK back in rodeo with including Broc riding and of course everyone enjoys the mutton busting.

Third Sunday | Duarte Garage Open Built in 1915, along the newly dedicated Lincoln Highway, the garage served as a gas station, service station, and a car dealership (in the south portion, added in 1923). The garage was restored by the Livermore Heritage Guild, and provides a number of historical displays. The restored LHG fire trucks (as seen in the Rodeo Parade each year) are housed there. Last Sunday | Hagemann Ranch Open Today’s Hagemann Ranch is the last 4.5 acres of continuously operated ranch land from the original rancho el Valle de San José, a Mexican land grant applied for in 1835 by the children of José Joaquin Bernal. The original Rancho consisted of 48,000 acres encompassing much of present day Sunol, Pleasanton and the northwest section of Livermore. A variety of equipment and vehicles are on display in the historic buildings.
