#153 - Spot the Truck
Here’s Livermore Resident’s Jim, Resa, & Jake Arnold in their 1952 Dodge B-3-B panel truck named “Spot”. Jim found the truck out in a field near Redding in 1970 and paid only $25. The truck was missing many vital parts that Jim got from a 1953 Dodge pickup. Jim has rebuilt the engine himself twice and has been Spot's primary mechanic for over 54 years. Spot is powered by its original 231 CID flathead engine, which deliver s a whopping 95 horsepower. Spot was beautified most recently in 2015 when he got some body work, new paint, upholstery and interior. There are always ways to improve Spot the truck and so it is an ongoing project.  The Arnolds have enjoyed many adventures in Spot, taking them South to Mazatlan, Mexico and North to Fairbanks, Alaska. Keep on Trucking!
