#161 - Livermore Public Library Literacy Program - Happy 20th Civic Center Library!
Our friends from the Livermore Public Library’s Literacy Program invite you to join the 20th birthday celebration of our beautiful Civic Center Library. The party is Today, and last until 4pm. Enjoy music and fun for all ages! So following the parade, come celebrate at the library and see all that it has to offer. Happy birthday!

 

 

 
#162 - Cresta Blanca Service unit of the Girl Scouts of America
Local Livermore Girl Scouts representing the Cresta Blanca Service Unit of Girl Scouts of Northern California. Our Livermore Girl Scouts enjoy going on outdoor adventures, learning new skills, forming friendships and so much more....all while making the world a brighter place.

 

 
#163 - Junction Ave. K-8 Color Guard
Junction Ave Colorguard is the only Middle School Colorguard in Livermore. They march in the Holiday Parade and Rodeo Parade and also compete in the California Color Guard Circuit throughout the bay area. All incoming 6th to 8th graders attending Junction are invited to come and be a part of the team. Clinics will begin in September.”

 

 

 

 

 

 
#164 - Livermore High School Gravitech X
Livermore High School’s competitive robotics team, 6619 Gravitech-Ex, had an outstanding year in 2024. The team made it to the playoffs at both of their regional events. In their final event the team placed 3rd, earning them a 13th rank in California and the top 3% in the world! The team would like to thank the sponsors that made it possible, including Lawrence Livermore National Security, Livermore School District, Dryden Construction, Rotary of Livermore, FerroTec, Westec Plastics, Livermore Valley Education Foundation, Kaiser Aluminum, LabSmith and deHaro construction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
#165 - Livermore Post 47 American Legion and the Branch 287 Fleet Reserve Association
The American Legion is a congressionally chartered patriotic veteran’s organization in existence since 1919. It is committed to mentoring and sponsoring youth programs in the community, advocating honor and patriotism, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. Livermore Post 47 is one of the oldest in California and meets at the Veterans Memorial Building.  Community service includes sponsoring Scout units, like Mighty 914 Cub Pack. Pack 914 is a pack that accepts both girls and boys and has an active schedule.

U.S. Army Recruiting East Bay covers recruiting operations, school involvement, and community engagement for the U.S. Army in the local area.

 

 
   
#167 - Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA)
Is a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) more commonly referred to as a Humvee. Today’s vehicle is being driven by Sergeant First Class Robert Cornett. In the center cupola waving hello is Lieutenant Colonel (Promotable) Marisol Chalas, Parks Reserve Forces Training Area which many of you know as Camp Parks, Garrison Commander. Also in the vehicle today is Lieutenant Colonel’s Command Sergeant Major, Eric Soto and the Deputy to the Garrison Commander Michelle McLaughlin. Parks Reserve Forces Training Area was established in 1943 and has been a mainstay of the Tri-Valley for more than 80 years. They are PRFTA (priffTa) Proud

Representing our active duty military personnel we have members of the; Army, Marines and Navy. They are part of the Livermore military Recruiting offices located on Murrieta Avenue. Please show them your support.
