The rodeo parade is on Saturday morning of "Rodeo Weekend", which is the second weekend of June.  It is held on 2nd Street.  These pictures are from June 11, 2011.

#221 - Wells Fargo Stagecoach, Heather Oconnell, City Council Riding

And now, ladies and gentlemen, here comes a living symbol of the American Spirit --- The Wells Fargo Stagecoach driven by Paul Fellingham. Today, the legendary Wells Fargo Stagecoach rides through Livermore carrying members of our City Council. Riding on top is Mayor Marshal Kamena with some of the rest of the council inside the coach.
 


 

 


 

 
Following behind the Wells Fargo Stagecoach, on foot, is Heather O'connell of the Livermore Rodeo Foundation with "Goosedown's Noon Gunn", who is a chestnut miniature horse gelding that you can take home if you are the lucky winner. Please visit the Livermore Rodeo Foundation table at the Rodeo today to find out how. Let's give them a big hand !
 

 

 

#222 - Missi Elliott, Miss Livermore Rodeo Queen 2011

Let's give a warm welcome to Miss Livermore Rodeo Queen 2011, Missi Elliott. Missi is 23 years old, from Oakdale California and she is currently studying as a business major at Modesto Junior College. She has been riding horses her entire life and is excited to represent the 93rd edition of the "Worlds Fasted Rodeo" here in Livermore. She wants to remind everyone that today is "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" day at the Rodeo and tomorrow is Patriot Day. She hopes to see all of you there!

And now we welcome our own brand of Royalty, Makayla Beauchamp, Miss Livermore Junior Rodeo Queen for 2011.

Lets have a big hand for Charro Gustavo Gonzalez. Gustavo is ten years old and he rides in a team of Charros. He is known for his roping skills and tricks. He is accompanied by Escaramuza Charras, Gisselle Hernandez and Areanna Lopez. These little ones are part of an all girls Mexican riding team, age 14 and under.

Here we have Shelby Ohlhauser, " Ridin' for the Vets!" Shelby is sponsored by the Livermore/Pleasanton Elks Club. The Elk's Club has been supporting the Veterans here at our own Livermore Veterans Hospital.
 

 

#225 - Salinas Rodeo Truck & Queen

Here comes the 2011 Miss California Ro-Day-O Salinas, Brittany Voss. She is here to invite you all to the 101st annual Salinas Rodeo, July 21st through the 24th. This years Rodeo will feature the best pro-rodeo cowboys & cowgirls along with chuck wagon racing, GIZMO McCRACKEN and the exciting freestyle bullfights on the track. California RO-Day-O Salinas…..101 Historic years of Rodeo.
 


 

#226 - Currin Lee Dancers- Livermore Dance Center

An annual favorite, welcome the Currin Lee Dancers of the Livermore Dance Center, celebrating their 33rd anniversary. They are located at the Bothwell Art Center at 2466 "8th" Street in Livermore. Students range in age from 2 through adult. The Currin Lee Dancers perform at many local festivals, benefit shows, The County Fair, the Livermore Holiday Parade, and many local shows. They specialize in acrobatics, tap, jazz, ballet, hula, tahitian and arco tumbling.They are available for luau birthday parties and benefit show. This year, they are performing to "Dance Until The World Ends" and other pop hits of 2011. Watch for their adult performing group, the Livermore Rodeo Rockettes.
