#47 - Reins in Motion Foundation The Reins in Motion Foundation is a volunteer-based therapeutic riding program in Livermore, CA. Their mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with special needs and life threatening illnesses by connecting them with horses, animals, and outdoor education activities that promote healing and growth in all aspects of their daily lives. Reins has been serving Livermore and the surrounding area since 2010. Reins in Motion also has a veterans program called Reins for Heroes. Reins is currently in need and looking for more volunteers. If you like horses, kids, and want to support your community, please reach out to them. Save the date for Reins in Motions annual Hearts with Hooves Fundraiser Saturday September 16th. More information and ways to help support them is on their website. |

#48 - Aahmes Shriners First Place - Silver Mounted The Mounted Patrol are riding painted horses on silver tooled saddles. The Mounted Patrol is one of the last Shiner Mounted Patrols west of the Mississippi River. Their leader is Tim Wilbur. The Leader of Aahmes this year is Potentate Gary Charland. Members of the leadership group are Mike Salazar, Leo Bautista, Brad Rupert, Terry Killgore and Joseph Pritchard. The Tin Lizzies are Shriners from Modesto Shrine Club. The folks on the trailers are Nobles, ladies and friends of Shrine. We all work together to help Provide Compassionate, Innovative Care! |
