Cable TV | |
Comcast (formally AT&T Cable Services, formally TCI) is the cable service for
serving the Tri-Valley area. Besides cable TV service, Internet access is offered via cable modem and local phone service is offered over the cable (although they do not appear to be taking new accounts for phone service). |
|
ATT provides U-Verse, which includes TV
service via the phone lines. Uses Fiber to the Node, which means that
fiber optics is used to carry the signal to and from the Node, which is a
cabinet on the street near the house. It uses the standard copper
phone lines for the "last mile" (generally a lot less than a mile) to the
home. |
|
Various national satellite services also serve the Tri-Valley including Dish Network and DirecTV | |
