Starting in 2018, Mexico and Puerto Rico alternate years with their own region
in the LLIWS.
The
other country competes for the Latin America Region.
2018 was Puerto Rico, 2019 was Mexico with their own region.
With the cancellation of the 2020 LLIWS, Puerto Rico will have the slot in 2021.
