1935 to 1957


Children's Parade, June 9, 1935.  On L St, in front of the Veterans Memorial building.

Children's Parade, June 9, 1935.  On L St, in front of the Veterans Memorial building.


1935 parade on 1st St.  Lions Club float in foreground.  The float being pulled by the car is made to look like a boat, and has 1835-1935 written on the side.
Building signs:
PG&E sign on the building that is now a UPS store.
"Livermore Cleaners & Dyers - Alterations--Laundry"
The two story building contains Safeway.
"Lucky Lager" can be seen on the building behind the float.


Livermore High and Grammer Schools Band.
1st St, just west of K.
Year unknown, but probably in the 1930s or 40s.
Building to right of 2 story building is "Golden State Ice Cream".

1957 Rodeo Parade on 1st St, at the K St crosswalk
Stage reads "Special Coach to Ed's Top Rail"
This stage coach is shown in a 1933 photo, and is still in the parade these days (2002 photo)
