recognition as the first American string quartet to be awarded a top prize
at the prestigious Osaka International Chamber Music Competition. Prior to
its Japanese laurels, the quartet also won awards in numerous United States
competitions, including the Hugo Kauder International Competition for String
Quartets, The Carmel Chamber Music Competition and the Chamber Music Yellow
Springs Competition. In 2009, the Euclid Quartet was awarded the esteemed

Livermore History Center Open The Livermore History Center contains a variety is displays of Livermore's history as well as historical photos and other information. Third Sunday | Duarte Garage Open Built in 1915, along the newly dedicated Lincoln Highway, the garage served as a gas station, service station, and a car dealership (in the south portion, added in 1923). The garage was restored by the Livermore Heritage Guild, and provides a number of historical displays. The restored LHG fire trucks (as seen in the Rodeo Parade each year) are housed there. Last Sunday | Hagemann Ranch Open Today’s Hagemann Ranch is the last 4.5 acres of continuously operated ranch land from the original rancho el Valle de San José, a Mexican land grant applied for in 1835 by the children of José Joaquin Bernal. The original Rancho consisted of 48,000 acres encompassing much of present day Sunol, Pleasanton and the northwest section of Livermore. A variety of equipment and vehicles are on display in the historic buildings.
