Visit the History Center
The Livermore Heritage Guild operates the History Center in the Carnegie Building (see photos) on 3rd Street between J and K. The History Center is open from 11:30 to 4:00 Wednesday through Sunday, and also open during the Livermore Farmer's Market on Thursday evenings (mid May through mid October).
The History center contains many photographs and displays, and is staffed by knowledgeable people who will to answer questions and share information on the history of our great town.
The Livermore Heritage Guild was formed in 1973 to save and restore the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot on L St. between 1st and Railroad. They also maintain the Duarte Lincoln Highway Garage on the corner of L St. and Portola. Occasional open houses are held at that facility. Their web site is www.lhg.org
