#45 - Livermore Post 47 American Legion and the
Branch 287 Fleet Reserve Association 2nd Place: Color Guard (Senior) The American Legion is a congressionally chartered patriotic veteran’s organization in existence since 1919. It is committed to mentoring and sponsoring youth programs in the community, advocating honor and patriotism, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. Livermore Post 47 is one of the oldest in California. They meet at the Veterans Memorial Building on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month. If you’re interested in helping your fellow veterans, your community, and especially local school children, you can do that with fellow veterans at Post 47. |

#46 - World War II Jeep and Truck-Freedom Is Not
Free
From World War II, a 1943 Gun Jeep made by the Ford Motor Car Company as a part of the war effort. It is equipped with a 30 caliber gun, small arms and radios. Driven By Retired Sergeant; John Bodnar, who reminds us to never forget that "Freedom Is not Free." Next we have Mike Antonelli driving a Chevy 1 1/4 Ton 1941 Truck. This truck is similar to those used on the trip from India to China to supply the Chinese against the Japanese in World War II over the Burma Road. |

#47 - US Military Armed Forces 1st Place: Color Guard (Military) HOORAY FOR THE RED WHITE AND BLUE! Representing the four branches of the U.S. Military are the team members from the Livermore Recruiting offices of the Air Force, Army, Marines, and Navy located on Murietta Blvd. |

#48 - M.A.S.H. Jeep 1st Place: Antique Vehicles This World War 1944 Jeep was used extensively in the 20th Century Fox T.V. series M.A.S.H. It also appeared in the Movies Patton and Tora, Tora, Tora. Today it honors all our Veterans who have served our Country. |

#49 - Rustler’s Ride 2nd Place: Classic & Custom Vehicles Rustler’s Ride In memory of Bob Henry, his family entered his 1965 Chevrolet C-10 Truck. Bob was a lifelong resident of Livermore, proud Navy veteran, Past President of the Livermore Stockmen’s Rodeo Association, and an Altamont Cruiser |
